SINGTEL WATERFRONT THEATRE 2022

The Singtel Waterfront Theatre is an extension of Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay along the waterfront at Marina Bay in Singapore.The architectural design concept was conceived to mirror the image of Marina Bay using a reflective light box facade during the day. We designed a delicate nighttime image by projecting patterns of light and shadow from the light box onto the building facade, representing the theatre as a place for freedom of expression and performance for the artist. At dusk, the facade and interior lighting slowly comes aglow and completes the Marina Bay nightscape with its dynamic lighting effect. People strolling along the promenade will be surprised by the gentle movement of light and soft glow at various times, creating delightful moments of delight.
