This was a lighting enhancement project for Orchard Road's most iconic building located at a prime junction. The design casts in elegant light the stately and composed architecture, the red eave undersides, and elaborate Chinese-style motif of this distinguished landmark standing at a choice location. The use of super-narrow angle high-efficiency spotlights and LED fixtures reduces energy consumption by 70％.
A series of on-site lighting tests and a meticulous decision-making process that included the client's participation was an especially significant aspect of this enhancement project. The fact that a design themed around beautiful shadow and light and a lighting scheme free of all excess can contribute to significantly reduced power consumption serves as a valuable lesson for future landmark lighting design.
