This office building utilizes the plentiful natural energy of the Kurobe area. The office is an open design where employees can freely choose their work area. During the day and depending on orientation, natural light is effectively incorporated and controlled through high windows and building eaves, supplemented with sensor-activated artificial light. The central “cross-shaped space,” an atrium running through the building along the east–west and north–south axes, is illuminated with dynamic, well-defined light that emphasizes the architectural design. On the third floor, the hospitality area welcomes important guests with calm and warm, hotel-like light. With a design focused on energy efficiency and human well-being, the project has earned both ZEB and WELL Platinum certifications.
