Venice Biennale 2021 Jul . 04 . 2021
Before the pandemic hit the world, we were invited to contribute to the Singapore Pavilion in the World Expo 2020 curated by the National University of Singapore Architecture Department as part of
Alongside 16 other participants representing Singapore, our proposal was to showcase the chronological history of lighting in the country and how our Lighting Detectives activities have been implemented to bring awareness, dialogue and community participation in its future.
In the theme of To-Gather, we experienced an unexpected suspension of our work due to the official postponement of the exhibition in Venice while the world tries to recover from this epidemic – together.
After a tumultuous year, we are pleased to be able to present our work at the Venice Architecture Biennale, as one of the many voices from Singapore.
We would like to thank the team at NUS Department of Architecture and the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Singapore for this wonderful opportunity.
