The Westin Hotel Yokohama opens Jun . 21 . 2022

The Westin Hotel Yokohama, the sixth "Westin" brand hotel in Japan, opened on June 13.
In the spirit of well-being, the hotel embodies biophilic design through the use of lighting method that complement the plantings and the use of lighting through the trees that evokes nature.
In the reception lobby, a large chandelier with light that ripples like a gentle breeze is installed, and its brightness and color changes with the transition of natural light.
The building was designed to resemble a sailing ship, inspired by Yokohama's history as a prosperous trading town, and the interior was designed with an awareness of its connection to the port and nature, creating an elegant and relaxing light space.
