Opened on May 1, 2025, Patina Osaka marks Capella Hotel Group’s debut in Japan. This 20-story hotel boasts 221 guest rooms and is situated in a prime location offering panoramic views of Osaka Castle against the backdrop of the city center.

LPA was responsible for the interior lighting design of both the public areas and guest rooms. We collaborated closely with the interior designers to craft a meticulously detailed lighting plan. Drawing inspiration from the patina’s inherent textures and colors, we incorporated warm-toned indirect lighting, complemented by functional task lighting. This approach creates a play of light and shadow throughout the space, providing guests with a sense of wonder and comfort in various areas as the day transitions.
