Client : Meiji Jingu The idea for this one-time lighting experiment was to photograph Meiji Shrine for a picture postcard to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the restoration of Meiji Shrine in November 2008. Surrounded by a dense evergreen forest and an air of purity, Meiji Shrine enshrines Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken. In order not to lose the imperial atmosphere of the shrine pavilions a minimal amount of light was used in the experiment.
